Shortening URL is a great way to share large URLs. There are many free URL shorteners. Even some shorteners (ie. AdFly) offer revenue to the users. But I simply hate them. Because it bores people. More than two years ago I wrote about Tiny URL . But do you know, Google has a shortener too?! Let's try . . . Google URL Shortener Follow the above link and you will get the following view: Now copy and paste your desired URL in the box and hit on the Shorten URL button. Immediately you will get a short URL in the right side.  Remember, if you are not signed in to your Google account, you have to enter captcha. But if you're signed in, you don't need to type captcha and a list of short URLs create by you will be  kept in your account. You can also view the number of click on those short URLs!  In the list of short URL, you will get detailed analysis of each URL. Sometimes you may need to provide a web address (or url) to your friend or someone else. If you give it using email then it is easy. Just copy and paste the whole url. But if you need to send it by Mobile SMS or if you need to write in on a paper then you may need to type it manually or write on a paper. In case of small url it is not very difficult job. But if the url is too long then it will really a tough job for you. And most importantly there is a chance of mistake. Because often a web address consists of many meaningless letter or symbol. And if you miss a single letter your link will be unusable! But there is a system to make your long url short. Tiny URL will let you shorten a long url. For example, type http://munnamark.blogspot.com  in the box and click on tiny. Then the short link will be like that  http://tiny.cc/7n96bw .
