Disable Windows 10 Automatic Update (All Editions)




Turn off Windows 10 Auto Update

Though Windows 10 Pro users can easily disable Automatic Update, Home users can't! Because they don't have Group Policy Editor. And Registry Settings for turning off auto update doesn't work too. In this situation, if you're a home user then you can stop automatic update through Services. 
At the end of last year, I've published another post on disabling Windows 10 Auto Update. But it doesn't work with Windows Home edition. If you're using Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise edition, then follow the link below -

Turn off Automatic Update (Specially For Home Users)

  1. Go to Control Panel.
  2. Open Administrative Tools.
  3. Click twice on Services. 
  4. Lots of services will be there. Press W > Scroll down and find Windows Update. (Or Press Start + R > Type services.msc > Press Enter > Find Windows Update)
  5. Double click on it to open Windows Update Properties.
  6. Make sure you're on the General tab.
  7. Choose Startup type Disabled. If you'd like to update manually, then choose Manual. 
  8. Now look at the Service status. If it's running, stop it. 
  9. Finally, hit on the Apply > OK.

    Without fail, these news updates bring a lot of changes that can be utmost beneficial for us. Anyway, I have another easy tip for you with the help of which you can get rid of this problem. Go to Command Prompt then type “Shutdown –s –t 0”. Thus you can shut down your PC without updating in seconds. However, this tip is 100% safe. Joining Texts from Multiple Cells in Excel

  Programs like MS Excel is full of functions. There are many useful functions that we don't use or we don't know about. One of them is CONCATENATE. It means joining or linking. With this function you can join texts from multiple cells. Let's see how . . . Suppose you're working in an Excel Worksheet where you need to combine texts from different cells. Running Total/ Cumulative Sum in Excel

  Hey Guys! You should have noticed that I'm writing on MS Excel for last few days! To be honest I'm trying to learn some simple and useful tricks of Excel. And I'm also trying to share my knowledge with you. In this post I've come with such a little trick which maybe very useful if you face such situation. Let's begin . . .    Running Total/ Cumulative Sum It means the summation of numbers in a list and it will be updated each time when a number is added or changes. Look at the image below -    Look at the image. There are two columns with numbers. The first one is simply the number list. But the 2nd one is the summation of the list.
